Job summary

Hanson Fresh Meat in Wingfield, SA 5013 is seeking a Full-Time Human Resource Adviser to provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.

You will coordinate recruitment and selection processes, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, arranging interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing employment documentation. You will also manage onboarding and probation, advise on employee relations, and help develop HR policies and workforce planning.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
• At least 5 years of HR experience may substitute formal qualification.
• Experience in recruitment, onboarding, and policy implementation.
• Solid knowledge of Australian employment legislation including the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR advice on policies, procedures, workplace practices, and employment legislation.
• Coordinate recruitment and selection processes, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, arranging interviews, conducting reference checks, and preparing employment documentation.
• Manage employee onboarding, induction, and probation processes to ensure effective integration of new employees into the business.
• Advise managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, disciplinary processes, grievance handling, and workplace investigations.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and review of HR policies, procedures, and workforce planning strategies to support operational requirements.
• Coordinate employee training and professional development programs, including mandatory workplace health and safety training and compliance training.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR information systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy and employment legislation.
• Assist with remuneration reviews, employment contracts, position descriptions, and organisational change or restructuring processes.
• Monitor compliance with the Fair Work Act, applicable Modern Awards, workplace health and safety requirements, and company policies and procedures.
• Prepare HR reports and workforce analytics, including recruitment activity, employee turnover, absenteeism, and workforce planning data, to support management decision-making.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or a related field. At least 5 years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience is required.
• Demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy implementation.
• Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Strong organisational, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with employees and management.
• Proficiency in English is essential.
