Job summary

Premier Transport Group is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our Unanderra Depot on a full-time basis. You will service and maintain a fleet of buses and coaches, perform fault finding and repairs, and complete safety checks in line with company procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a MR or higher-class license, have diesel mechanic experience, and can work independently or as part of a team. Forklift and auto electrical experience are desirable assets for this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy vehicle diesel maintenance and servicing.
• MR or higher-class driver's license required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Australian citizen or right to work in Australia.

Premier Transport Group are currently seeking Full-time Heavy Vehicle Mechanics to join our team at our Unanderra Depot. You will be a motivated, and qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic with experience in servicing and maintaining diesel vehicles.

About Us

Premier Motor Service is part of the Premier Transport Group providing bus and coach transport services in the Illawarra area. We operate local route and school bus services, private charters, and rail replacement services. Our operations are Australian owned and operated having grown from a small, local business to providing cost effective travel options and quality customer service to passengers in the Illawarra area and surrounds.

About the Role:

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday with overtime hours available. Rotating roster.
• Servicing and routine maintenance/safety checks on a fleet of Buses and Coaches.
• Fault finding, diagnosis and repair of vehicles as required.
• Working in line with safety guidelines and procedures.

About You:

• Australian Citizen or have the right to work in Australia
• Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivated, strong initiative and an ability to work independently and within a team
• Excellent communication skills (both verbally and written), attention to detail, reliability and punctuality
• Prior experience in heavy vehicle mechanics (diesel)
• Currently hold a MR or higher-class License (Unrestricted C Class willing to upgrade also considered)
• Forklift license and auto electrical experience desirable.
