Job summary

Berowra Cottage Children's Centre in Berowra, NSW, is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Educator on a full-time basis. You will support learning, development and wellbeing in line with EYLF and NQS within a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

The role requires a Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, NSW Working with Children Check, and current First Aid/CPR. You will collaborate with families and staff, contribute to developmental records and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent.
• Current NSW Working with Children Check.
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong understanding of EYLF and NQS.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Genuine passion for young children and development.
• Minimum 1 year experience in childcare education or as a childcare worker.
• Experience in long day care or early learning environment.
• Knowledge of child development and inclusive education practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs that support children's learning and development.
• Provide a safe, caring and inclusive environment for all children.
• Support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through engaging learning experiences.
• Observe and document children's progress and contribute to developmental records.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with daily routines, including meals, rest periods and hygiene practices.
• Participate in team meetings, training and professional development activities.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment.
