Corston Couture in Sydney seeks a Sewing Machinist for Bridal Gowns. This full-time role requires at least 5 years of experience; 4 or 5 days per week are considered.

Based in Chippendale, near Redfern station, the studio has new machines, a light, air‑conditioned sewing room, and a supportive team with a dedicated cutter and patternmaker. A 4–6 hour trial will assess fit and capability, with optional client fittings.

Job description

We have a Full time Position for a Sewing Machinist for Bridal Gowns

We need someone exeprienced, and this is a full time position,

So they must have at least 5 years experience. We would consider a person only able to work 4 days a week, but would prefer 5 days a week.

We are located in Chippendale less than 500 meters from Redfern train station,

The work schedule is very organized, and we have a dedicated cutter and patternmaker.

All sewing machines are new and well maintained, the sewing room open and light and airconditioned.

The other staff are very friendly and helpful.

We are prepared to pay a very good wage to the right applicant, and would expect a 4-6 hour trial to make sure of the fit and capabilities of the applicant.

As a bonus, we would be interested in someone who, along with machining, could do fittings with clients, but this in not at all a must.
