Job summary

Stitches Soft Furnishings in Sydney's St Peters region is seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist / Curtain Maker to join our boutique workroom. You will operate industrial sewing machines to fabricate high-quality curtains, blinds and soft furnishings to exacting standards.

The role requires reading worksheets, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

Qualifications

• Over five (5) years of experience as a Sewing Machinist.
• Significant experience operating industrial sewing machines in a commercial or manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand worksheets
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to meet production targets
• Knowledge of textile materials, sewing techniques and finishing processes
• Comfortable working as part of a team as well as independently
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity
