Job summary

Dai Romani Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled Cook for our Petersham kitchen in NSW on a full-time basis. You will prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintain high food quality and presentation, and ensure food safety and hygiene in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent required.
• At least 12 months of relevant commercial cooking experience.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Examine ingredients for freshness and suitability.
• Regulate oven, grill, stove temperatures for proper cooking.
• Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
• Season, portion and plate meals with sauces and garnishes.
• Store ingredients and prepared food per safety standards.
• Accommodate dietary requirements and allergies.
• Assist with menu planning and estimating food requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and inventory.
