Overview:
We’re looking for aBookkeeperto take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function and provide reliable,accurate, and proactive financial administration support to the business.
Thisroleissuited to someone who is confident working independently, has strong AP and AR experience, understands Australian bookkeeping practices, and canidentifyand follow up on discrepancies or outstanding issues before they become problems.
You’llwork closely with the Finance Manager, who will provide training, guidance, and support while trusting you to managethe day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities witha high levelof accuracy and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes accurately and on time.
- Process, review, and code supplier invoices,identifyingand resolving discrepancies before payment.
- Monitor outstanding customer invoices and proactively follow up overdue accounts
- Complete daily bank reconciliations and investigate outstanding or unreconciled transactions.

- Follow up outstandingsuppliers,customers, and internal finance queries promptly.
- Assist with month-end bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks, ensuring deadlines are consistently met.
- Identifyerrors, discrepancies, or process issues and proactively communicate them to the Finance Manager.
- Maintain and follow existing bookkeeping procedures and contribute to improving processes as the role develops.
- Provide regular updates to the Finance Manager on priorities, outstanding items, and issues requiring attention.
- Ensure all bookkeeping activities are completed witha high levelof accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Proven experience managing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Strong experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Experience supporting month-end processes
- Experience working with an Australian business highly preferred
- Good understanding of Australian bookkeeping and accounting practices
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including working confidently with financial data and reconciliations

- Ability to independently manage recurring tasks, deadlines, and follow-ups
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desirable
