Job summary

Angus & Coote Gladstone is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in driving sales performance and upholding premium customer standards. This role offers leadership responsibilities within a renowned jewellery retailer, with opportunities to rise to Store Management.

You’ll develop expertise in diamonds, fine jewellery and watches while mentoring a team, managing operations, and delivering exceptional service in a busy premium environment.

Qualifications

• Previous retail leadership experience, ideally as an Assistant Manager or senior sales professional.
• Passion for selling and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
• Ability to develop others and lead by example on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager to lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, providing trusted advice and building customer relationships.
• Deepen knowledge of diamonds, fine jewellery and watches to maximise sales opportunities.
• Coach and motivate team members to achieve sales goals.
• Take ownership of store performance and operations when the Store Manager is away.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and development of Team Members.

As Assistant Store Manager of Angus & Coote Gladstone, you’ll work closely with the Store Manager to lead the team, drive sales performance and maintain the high standards expected of a premium jewellery retailer.

• Support the Store Manager to lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, providing trusted advice and building meaningful customer relationships.
• Develop your knowledge across diamonds, fine jewellery and watches and use that expertise to maximise every sales opportunity.
• Coach and motivate Team Members to achieve individual and store sales goals.
• Take ownership of store performance and operations when the Store Manager is away.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development of Team Members.
• Assist with inventory, administration, rostering, visual standards and loss prevention while maintaining consistently high operational standards.
