Job summary

Sypht is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to level up our platform. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, collaborating with product, operations and data science teams to deliver new features and improvements.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on with React, NodeJS, Python, and AWS, and comfortable with a dockerized microservices architecture and distributed systems. A passion for machine learning and data analysis helps drive innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field.
• Experience developing in React and NodeJS.
• Familiarity with Python.
• Experience with AWS.
• Dockerized microservices and distributed systems experience.
• Relational DB knowledge (MySQL or PostgreSQL).
• Git source control knowledge.
• Web development: JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
• Interest in ML systems and data analysis.

The Role

This opportunity will have you working across the full software development lifecycle, from analysing needs and managing the design of the software, through to developing and testing the new software to ensure it meets the identified needs. You will be working closely with product, operations and data science teams to deliver new features. The right person will be an advocate for the newest tech, someone who knows their stuff, who's innovative and can get passionate about our platform.

You’ll need;

• Strong problem solving skills
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or in a related technical field
• Experience developing in React and NodeJS
• Familiarity of the Python programming language
• Experience working with AWS
• Experience with dockerized microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Working knowledge of relational databases like mySQL or PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of source control systems (e.g. Git)
• Experience with web development (e.g. Javascript, HTML/CSS)
• A keen interest in machine learning systems and data analysis

If you have

• Experience using Kubernetes
• NoSQL, i.e. REDIS, MongoDB experience
• Worked with front end testing frameworks like Selenium or Cypress
