Job summary

Lowes Petroleum in Gulgong is seeking an experienced Heavy Combination driver to join our team. Reporting to the Dubbo Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the safe delivery of fuel to customers within the Gulgong region.

This permanent, full-time role offers a day shift Monday to Friday with a guaranteed minimum of 35 hours per week. We provide uniforms, PPE, a strong safety culture, and comprehensive driver training to support your career.

Qualifications

• Valid HC Licence.
• Proven experience as a professional truck driver.
• Clean driving record and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Loading, transportation and delivery of fuel to customers (retail, commercial, agricultural & industrial).
• Perform daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Manage fatigue and log book duties.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards at all times.
• Complete duties within set timeframes and follow instructions.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Loading, transportation and delivery of fuel products to retail, commercial, agricultural & industrial customers
• Perform daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
• Manage fatigue and perform log book duties
• Develop, grow and maintain good relationships with our customers
• Ensure compliance and safety is adhered to at all times
• Carry out all duties within set timeframes and follow instructions

Skills and Experience

• Valid HC Licence
• Existing experience as a professional truck driver
• A dangerous Goods licence is considered an advantage
• SLP is considered an advantage
• BFM Statement of Attainment
• Clean driving record and a commitment to a safe work environment
• Dedication to achieving high standards of safety
• Great customer service and friendly attitude
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
