Job summary

Lowes Petroleum is seeking an experienced Heavy Combination driver to join our team in Gulgong, NSW. You will be responsible for safe delivery of fuel to customers in the Gulgong Region, reporting to the Dubbo Depot Manager.

This permanent, full-time role offers a day shift, a guaranteed minimum of 35 hours per week and comprehensive training from our Driver Trainers. Uniforms and PPE are provided, with a strong emphasis on safety from our HSSE team.

Qualifications

• Valid HC Licence and clean driving record.
• Professional truck driving experience in fuel delivery.
• Dangerous Goods licence is an advantage.
• BFM Statement of Attainment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Loading, transportation and delivery of fuel products to customers.
• Pre-loading for deliveries and daily vehicle pre-start checks.
• Manage fatigue and complete log book duties.
• Develop, grow and maintain good relationships with customers.
• Ensure compliance and safety at all times.
• Carry out duties within set timeframes and follow instructions.

Tasks And Responsibilities

• Loading, transportation and delivery of fuel products to retail, commercial, agricultural & industrial customers
• Pre-loading for deliveries
• Perform daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
• Manage fatigue and perform log book duties
• Develop, grow and maintain good relationships with our customers
• Ensure compliance and safety is adhered to at all times
• Carry out all duties within set timeframes and follow instructions

Skills And Experience

• Valid HC Licence
• Existing experience as a professional truck driver
• A dangerous Goods licence is considered an advantage
• SLP is considered an advantage
• BFM Statement of Attainment
• Clean driving record and a commitment to a safe work environment
• Dedication to achieving high standards of safety
• Great customer service and friendly attitude
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
