Job summary

Healthcarelink Support is seeking an experienced Registered Scrub Scout Nurse to join our Perioperative team in Adelaide on a full-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.

As the Scrub Scout, you will supervise, direct and guide nursing staff, liaise with the multi-disciplinary team and ensure patient safety while delivering evidence-based peri-operative care.

Qualifications

• Post graduate qualification in perioperative nursing.
• Minimum of 3 years scrub scout experience.
• Previous leadership experience in a nursing team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation.
• Ability to lead staff in a supportive manner.
• Keep up-to-date with perioperative developments.

Responsibilities

• Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care.
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team.
• Ensure patient and staff safety.
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; ENs and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only).
• Proactively assess the operative nursing care for best outcomes.
• Document into the patient’s medical record clearly and timely using standard terminology.

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Scrub Scout Nurse to join our Perioperative team on a full-time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.

As a Perioperative Registered Nurse - Scrub Scout your responsibilities will include:

• Undertake peri-operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care
• Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
• Ensure patient and staff safety
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)
• Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
• Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

About the Company

The hospital is a private not-for-profit 98 bed hospital. It offers a range of specialties including ENT Surgery, general medicine, neurosurgery, opthalmology, orthopaedic surgery, paediatric surgery and plastic & reconstructive surgery. The hospital is equipped with 8 operating theatres, a dedicated paediatric day stay unit and a level 2 critical care unit.

• Relevant Post graduate qualification
