Ramana Group Pty Ltd is a banana farm situated in Utchee Creek in Far North Queensland. We are seeking motivated, reliable, active and hardworking individuals to join our team as Fruit Farm Workers. This is an exciting opportunity to work in Australia's vibrant horticulture sector.

The ideal candidates will be physically strong, able to manage both indoor and outdoor duties, possess keen attention to detail, and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.

The Role

The position is a full-time basis with an annual salary set between $67,000 to $77,000 (depending on experience) plus superannuation

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various tasks on our fruit farm, including planting, harvesting, and packaging fruits.

Key Responsibilities

• Plant, maintain, and harvest fruits according to company standards and procedures
• Operate and maintain farm equipment
• Planting, pruning and irrigating fruits on the farm.
• Applying fertilisers and pesticides to ensure the health and growth of fruits.
• Monitoring fruit growth and assessing health issues like pest infestations ordiseases.
• Assisting in Stringing, Deleafing, Irrigation, desuckering, bagging, bell injecting and dehanding as and when required
• Stacking, Sort and grade fruits for packaging and distribution, pack and label fruits for shipment
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations
• Communicate any issues or concerns to the farm supervisor
• Assist with other farm duties as needed

What we are looking for:

• At least 12 monthsof previous experience working on a agriculture farm or Certificate I in Horticulture is required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Willingness to learn and take on new task
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime when needed.
