Job summary

McAvoy & Sons is seeking a Fruit Farm Worker to join our team in a permanent full-time position. You will assist with planting, harvesting, and packaging fruits on our farm, and you may operate tractors and harvesters as part of daily tasks.

The role requires physical fitness, reliability, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Weekend and overtime flexibility is preferred to support peak farming periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience on a farm or in agriculture is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
• Flexibility to work weekends and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Plant, maintain, and harvest fruits according to company standards and procedures.
• Operate and maintain farm equipment, such as tractors and harvesters.
• Sort and grade fruits for packaging and distribution.
• Pack and label fruits for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
• Communicate issues to the farm supervisor.
• Assist with other farm duties as needed.

Salary Package: $65,000 -$75,000 Plus Superannuation per annum.
