Job summary

Veriu is expanding its Australian-owned hotel network and seeks a hands-on Front Office leader. You’ll oversee guest services, train staff, and drive guest satisfaction while supporting the Hotel Manager in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Approved Australian working rights.
• First Aid Certificate required or willing to obtain within first month.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate or willing to obtain within first month.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including public holidays (no overnight shifts).
• Demonstrated experience leading a team with kindness to achieve outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems and manage escalated complaints.
• High standards of attention to detail and communication skills.
• Experience delivering genuine and vibrant customer service in lobby/concierge contexts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front office activities: complaint escalation, team management, rostering and timesheet approvals.
• Ensure front office delivers high-level guest services at check-in/check-out and during stay.
• Create new ways to leave guests with a lasting memorable experience.
• Identify new sales leads and contribute to the hotel's commercial success.
• Manage emergency situations in a safe and professional manner.
• Build strong, authentic relationships with teammates and guests.
• Support Hotel Manager with higher-level management and admin tasks to grow professionally.
