Job summary

The Sydney Opera House is seeking a Theatre/FoH leader to oversee daily front of house operations, coaching attendants and building strong relations with artists, presenters and staff. You will ensure welcoming, accessible venues and top-tier customer service.

Ideal candidates have experience in performing arts or hospitality, exceptional communication, and the ability to lead by example in a dynamic, inclusive environment. Applicants must be flexible for evenings, weekends and events.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating and supporting teams in a performing arts, theatre, venue, hospitality or customer-facing environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with strong communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, coordinate operations and maintain high standards of presentation and attention to detail.
• Experience providing coaching, feedback and performance support to team members in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Confident using Microsoft Office applications and working independently with initiative and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily front of house operations and support and develop Front of House Attendants through coaching and performance feedback.
• Build positive relationships with artists, presenters, stage management and colleagues.
• Ensure venues are welcoming, accessible, safe and presented to the highest standard while delivering outstanding customer service.
