Job summary

Funlab in Canberra Centre is hiring Front of House team members for Holey Moley and Hijinx Hotel. You’ll deliver memorable guest moments with a friendly, proactive service mindset, and help drive sales through upselling.

This role spans bar, reception and event support, requiring energy, reliability and a love of creating fun experiences. You’ll need customer service experience, a positive attitude, and the ability to engage a diverse guest mix, including teens and adults.

Qualifications

• Customer service, hospitality or retail experience.
• Ability to build customer rapport and connect with guests.
• Energetic, positive attitude and love of fun.
• Available on weekends and nights.
• RSA and WWCC or willingness to obtain.
• Comfortable working across bar, reception and events.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver unforgettable guest experiences with energy and top-tier service.
• Drive sales on every shift through upselling and product knowledge.
• Keep venue well-stocked and ready to impress guests.

What you'll do:

• Create and deliver unforgettable guest experiences with your energy and top-tier service mindset
• Drive sales on every shift – smash targets through upselling, product knowledge and proactive guest engagement
• Understand daily goals and challenges, working with your team to succeed
• Take pride in your venue, making sure it’s well-stocked and ready to impress at all times
• Own your space! Be trained in all areas and whether you’re behind the bar, at reception, or running a function, you bring your A game!
• Follow all safety and compliance procedures to keep guests and your teammates safeTake the opportunities to go above and beyond and anticipate our guests’ needs

What you've got:

• Uniqueness and a passion for fun
• Energy, enthusiasm, positivity - and bucketloads of it!
• Customer service, hospitality or retail experience and a love for building customer rapport
• A love of interacting with a diverse range of guests - teens, kids and adults
• Great availability, must be available on weekends and nights
• A valid RSA and WWCC or keenness to get them!
