The Role

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Developer (ReactJS) to join a high-performing technology team delivering modern web applications and digital experiences for enterprise customers.

Based in Sydney, this role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality React applications that are responsive, scalable, and user-centric. You will work closely with designers, product teams, and backend engineers to translate business requirements and UI/UX designs into robust frontend solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using ReactJS and related frontend technologies


• Transform UI/UX wireframes and designs into responsive, accessible, and production-ready interfaces


• Collaborate closely with designers, product owners, business stakeholders, and backend developers to deliver exceptional user experiences


• Build reusable frontend components and maintain scalable application architecture


• Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and asynchronous services


• Optimise applications for speed, scalability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility


• Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to frontend best practices and coding standards


• Troubleshoot and resolve defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues


• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across engineering, delivery, and development processes


• Remain current with emerging frontend technologies, frameworks, and development trends

What You'll Need

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using ReactJS


• Proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3


• Experience developing responsive and mobile-friendly user interfaces


• Hands-on experience with React state management solutions such as Redux, MobX, Context API, or equivalent


• Experience integrating and consuming RESTful APIs


• Strong understanding of frontend performance optimisation techniques


• Experience using Git and modern version control practices


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills


• Ability to work effectively within Agile delivery environments

Desirable Experience

• Experience with TypeScript


• Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest, Enzyme, React Testing Library, or similar


• Experience with CSS preprocessors including SASS or LESS


• Exposure to modern build and bundling tools such as Webpack, Babel, or Vite


• Understanding of web accessibility standards and security best practices


• Experience working on enterprise-scale or customer-facing digital platforms


• Exposure to cloud-native environments and modern software delivery practices


• Previous experience working in consulting or large-scale delivery environments

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline


• 7-15 years' experience in frontend or web application development


• Demonstrated experience delivering commercial ReactJS solutions
