Job summary

Sabre Engineering Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer or Project Manager to support early development of mining projects from concept to investment approval. Brisbane based, you will work with operations, maintenance, engineering and commercial teams to define and develop heavy mobile equipment projects through early phases.

The role focuses on building business cases, scopes of work, schedules and cost estimates, with strong written communication to support investment approvals.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with mining heavy mobile equipment.
• Ability to develop clear project documentation, scopes, estimates and business cases.
• Excellent written communication and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing project business cases and investment justification.
• Preparing project scopes of work and building project schedules.
• Developing project cost estimates and supporting reports.
• Preparing investment approval documentation.
• Coordinating input from operations, maintenance, engineering and commercial stakeholders.
• Identifying project risks, constraints and dependencies.
• Developing projects through the Front End Loading process.
• Supporting options analysis and project justification.
• Ensuring projects are sufficiently developed before handover to execution teams.
• Working with stakeholders to define project requirements.
• Managing cross-disciplinary collaboration across heavy equipment teams.
