Job summary

Tassal Group in Margate, Tasmania, is seeking Casual Processing Attendants to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will help process and package fresh salmon products in a fast-paced production environment, with full training provided.

If you are reliable, hardworking and can thrive in a team environment, you’ll partner with a supportive team to meet production targets. Forklift licence is nice but not essential; applicants must have Australian working rights and pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Available to work Monday to Friday on a casual basis.
• Ready to start immediately.
• Comfortable working in a cold food processing environment.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Able to communicate well and work as part of a team.
• Reliable transport and a current driver’s licence.
• Forklift licence highly regarded but not essential.
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug screening.
• Full Australian working rights.

Responsibilities

• Working as part of a production team processing fresh salmon products.
• Operating equipment used to cut, weigh and package products.
• Helping maintain product quality and production targets.
• Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
• Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised.
