Job summary

Kyvalley Dairy Group in Geelong, Victoria, is seeking Dairy Operators for day, afternoon and night shifts. You will operate filling, packing and automated palletising lines, with an 8–12 hour shift arrangement and weekend availability.

Applicants should have production or manufacturing experience, dairy experience is valued, and knowledge of GMP/HACCP is advantageous. Forklift licence is desirable but not essential. Reading and reporting batch information is required.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines according to the production plan.
• Safely operate diverse equipment like Case packer, Robotic Palletiser, Milk Filler, Flavour Filler.
• Identify and report hazards, near misses, and incidents.
• Clear jams, fix defects, and troubleshoot machine breakdowns.
• Confirm incoming materials meet specifications and finished product is within spec.
• Read and record batch information; general site and equipment cleaning.
• Occasionally assist with debagging, processing, case packer dispatch and other duties.

The Position

We are seeking applicants to join us as Dairy Operators. The role involves operating a variety of filling, packing, and automated palletising machines. The facility operates on an 8 - 12 hour shift arrangement for both day and night shift, so we are seeking applicants who are available for a range of shifts. Availability and willingness to work all days of the week including weekends.

Key Responsibilities for the Dairy Operators:

• Setting up the machine as per the production plan.
• Safe operation of variety of machines and equipment, such as, Case packer, Robotic Palletiser, Milk Filler, Flavour Filler etc.
• Identify and report hazards, near misses, and incidents.
• Clear jams, fix manufacturing defects, and problem solve machine breakdowns.
• Confirm incoming materials are to specification.
• Confirm the finished product is manufactured within specification.
• Reading and recording batch information.
• General cleaning of the site and equipment.
• Depending on the day, you may also help with debagging, processing, case packer dispatch and other manufacturing duties.

What you will bring:
