Job summary

Toll Group is seeking a proactive Freight Planner to join the Energy division in Lytton, Brisbane. The role focuses on coordinating transport operations, optimising fleet utilisation, and delivering exceptional service across a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities include planning daily activity, liaising with subcontractors and providers, and ensuring compliance with fatigue management and transport regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, freight planning, or supply chain operations.
• Strong operational knowledge within logistics and transport environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Strong customer service focus and stakeholder management experience.
• Experience using transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily and weekly vehicle and freight requirements.
• Optimise transport schedules and load planning to maximise efficiency.
• Coordinate subcontractors and transport providers to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor operational performance and proactively manage service issues.
• Ensure compliance with fatigue management, load restraint, and transport legislation.
• Investigate service failures, loss, or damage incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Act as a key communication point for customers and operational stakeholders.
