Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics is hiring an Import Air Operator to join the Import Air team in NSW. The role focuses on delivering accurate work, managing import workflows, and maintaining strong client relationships with internal and external customers.

You will enter data into CW1, plan shipments to meet milestones and KPIs, coordinate with airlines and service providers, and assist the Air freight Manager with daily activities and projects as required.

Responsibilities

• Work together with Import Air team to ensure quality and accuracy of work delivered.
• Carry out import workflow processes in accordance with management directive, customer instructions, SOPs, and specified requirements.
• Establish and maintain strong client relationships with DSV customers (internal and external), suppliers and service providers both locally and overseas.
• Ability to problem solve Import Air issues with a range of stakeholders including but to limited: airlines, shipping lines, transport providers, co-loaders, and customers.
• Enter data into CW1, accurately and in a timely manner.
• Plan and prioritize Import shipments from the Import Workbenches in order to achieve milestone requirements, designated KPIs and deadlines.
• Plan and prioritize transport requirements, from CTO to DSV, and DSV to the specified delivery, within KPI.
• Calculate monetary issues such as invoice costings, GST, etc. and weights and measures in relation to load sizes, space availability, etc.Implement and monitor process improvements.
• Support the Air freight Manager, Imports with day-to-day activities, and other reasonable tasks and projects as required, including liaising with the transit warehouse for availability of cargo for delivery.
