Advanced Design Technology Pty Ltd in Fyshwick, Canberra, is seeking an FPGA Engineer to design and develop FPGA-based systems for communications and signal processing. You will work across architecture, RTL development, simulation, timing closure, and hardware debugging within a small multidisciplinary team.

The role involves real hardware bring-up, integration with software and RF systems, and collaboration with engineers from multiple disciplines.

Formación

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of digital logic and synchronous design fundamentals.
• Ability to develop RTL in SystemVerilog.
• Experience with AMD Xilinx and/or Intel FPGA platforms.
• Appreciation for simulation, verification and timing analysis over synthesis only.
• Enjoy debugging difficult hardware problems.
• Comfort learning unfamiliar devices, interfaces and technologies.
• Use source control and disciplined engineering practices.
• Clear communication with engineers from other disciplines.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement FPGA architectures and RTL using SystemVerilog.
• Develop real-time signal-processing and high-throughput data paths.
• Integrate FPGA logic with processors, software, RF systems and hardware.
• Develop and debug DDR4, SERDES and other high-speed interfaces.
• Create simulation environments and testbenches to verify RTL designs.
• Perform FPGA implementation, timing analysis, optimisation and timing closure.
• Bring designs up on real hardware and diagnose problems across firmware, software and electronics.
• Participate in engineering reviews and make technical trade-offs between performance, FPGA resources, timing, power and complexity.
• Work with software, electronics, RF and systems engineers to deliver complete systems.
