TwoScots Recruitment is seeking an FP&A Business Analyst in Melbourne to drive budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting across corporate functions. You will translate financial data into actionable insights for senior leaders.

Collaborate with finance managers and stakeholders, build robust models and dashboards, and support decision-making with clear, concise analysis. This role combines financial analysis with commercial insight in a hybrid Melbourne environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
• CA, CPA or equivalent finance qualification.
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 or Power BI is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Support annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, coordinating inputs and timelines.
• Analyse financial performance, explain variances and highlight emerging trends.
• Build and refine financial models to support scenario planning and business cases.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for senior leadership.
• Maintain central cost allocation models, ensuring accuracy and clearly explaining allocations to stakeholders.

The opportunity

An established business is seeking an FP&A Business Analyst to support financial planning, reporting and commercial decision-making across its corporate functions.

Working closely with the FP&A Finance Manager, you’ll translate financial data into practical insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and help leaders understand performance, risks and opportunities.

Your role

• Support annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, coordinating inputs and timelines.
• Analyse financial performance, explain variances and highlight emerging trends.
• Build and refine financial models to support scenario planning and business cases.
• Prepare reports, dashboards and presentations for senior leadership.
• Maintain central cost allocation models, ensuring accuracy and clearly explaining allocations to stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with finance teams and business leaders to improve planning and reporting.

About you

You’re an analytical finance professional who enjoys understanding what drives performance and turning complex information into clear recommendations.

You’ll bring:

• Experience in FP&A, including budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting.
• CA, CPA or an equivalent finance or accounting qualification.
• Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders across the business.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines.

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, corporate cost allocations or the construction industry would be advantageous.
