Job summary

Talent Web Recruitment is seeking an FP&A Analyst for a logistics group in Sydney, with a hybrid work arrangement.

You will analyse monthly revenue and margins, support budgeting and forecasting, build financial models, and partner with operational teams to explain performance and drive improvements. The role reports to the Group FC with exposure to the CFO.

Qualifications

• Two years’ FP&A, consulting or related finance experience.
• Qualified or working towards CA/CPA/CFA or equivalent.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Experience with MYOB, financial modelling or dashboards is valuable.
• Interest in AI and automation is a plus.

An established business in the logistics sector is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join its finance team. Working across Australian and New Zealand operations, you will help explain financial performance and provide analysis to support business decisions.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, with regular exposure to the CFO, this is an opportunity to develop your budgeting, modelling and business partnering experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analysing monthly revenue and margins, investigating movements in pricing, service mix and operating costs.
• Preparing management reporting with clear commentary on performance and variances.
• Supporting the annual budget and rolling forecasts across multiple entities.
• Building and maintaining financial models, including scenario analysis, capex and cash flow forecasts.
• Working with operational managers to understand performance drivers.

You will bring at least two years’ experience in FP&A, consulting or a related finance role, and be qualified or working towards CA, CPA, CFA or equivalent.

Strong Excel and analytical skills are essential, along with the curiosity to understand why numbers have moved and the confidence to discuss your findings with non-finance colleagues. Experience with MYOB, financial modelling or dashboards would be valuable, as would an interest in AI and automation.
