Job summary

Silicon Quantum Computing (SQC) is hiring a senior FP&A Manager based in Sydney to design and own the budgeting, forecasting and Board reporting framework. You will build the FP&A function from scratch and align operational activity with financial insight in a fast-scaling deep-tech environment.

You will partner with research, engineering and operations and work across dual AASB and US GAAP frameworks while transitioning to NetSuite Planning & Budgeting.

Qualifications

• Substantial FP&A, financial modelling or corporate finance experience, ideally in a scaling/tech environment.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, able to build complex models from scratch.
• Experience running budgeting, forecasting and management reporting cycles; multi‑framework exposure is a plus.
• Comfortable engaging with senior management and building FP&A processes from scratch, as this is SQC's first dedicated FP&A hire.

Responsibilities

• Own the design, build and maintenance of core financial models: budget, rolling forecasts and long-range plan across AASB and US GAAP.
• Lead monthly management reporting, variance analysis, KPI dashboards and commentary for execs.
• Partner with team leads to build cost centre budgets and track spend against plan.
• Develop capex and R&D spend models, forecasting for grants and incentives.
• Build scenario and sensitivity models for board papers and funding decisions.
• Design and implement FP&A processes, templates and cadence for a fast-scaling org.
• Support transition to NetSuite Planning & Budgeting (EPM) with Finance and partners.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses and business cases for management decisions.
