Job summary

Metso Corporation in Ballina, NSW, Australia is seeking a Foundry Operative to join our foundry team. You will be responsible for general housekeeping and assisting with the manufacture of the foundry’s products, reporting to the Foundry Supervisor.

This is a hands-on role requiring good teamwork, adherence to work instructions and quality standards. Training covers Pattern Shop/Stores, Before Cast, Melt/Pour and After Cast sections, emphasizing safety and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Manual labour role requiring safe working practices.
• Willingness to follow work instructions and quality standards.
• Able to operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Work safely, plan daily output of product in alignment with instructions.
• Manufacture moulds per the work schedule and prepare for pouring.
• Pour moulds at the correct temperature and transfer castings to next stage.
• Pack, dispatch, and finalise castings per schedule.
• Maintain equipment and report issues to the supervisor.
• Support maintenance technician coordinator as required.
