Job summary

Weir in Artarmon, NSW, seeks a Labourer/Moulder Non Trade to support mining tech manufacturing. Onsite role, 5:00am–1:00pm, Monday–Friday, with opportunities to learn moulding processes and operate related equipment.

You will contribute to safe production of sand moulds, perform equipment operation, and collaborate with apprentices and teammates to meet targets. A strong safety mindset and practical tools experience are valued, with the potential for skill development.

Qualifications

• 12+ months in a manufacturing environment preferred, with moulding exposure.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and correspondence.
• Strong practical skills with hand tools and equipment operation (cranes, forklifts).
• Commitment to safety, quality and productivity standards.

Responsibilities

• Production & Quality: Produce high-quality sand moulds and cores using equipment.
• Equipment Operation: Operate cranes, sand mixers, portable tools with care.
• Safety & Compliance: Participate in safety initiatives and SOPs.
• Team Collaboration & Mentoring: Support apprentices or machinists.
• Inventory & Maintenance: Conduct stock takes and maintain work areas.
