Job summary

Kurrajong Kids Early Learning Centre in Victoria invites an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our foundation team as we open in 2027. You’ll bring your passion for play-based learning, strong relationships and reflective practice to create an inclusive, engaging kindergarten program.

Working closely with our Educational Leader and Centre Manager, you’ll shape curriculum, mentor educators and partner with families to support each child’s learning journey and wellbeing in a locally owned

Qualifications

• ACE CQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification is required.
• Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or eligibility before commencing employment.
• Knowledge of EYLF V2.0, VEYLDF, NQF and NQS is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate a play-based kindergarten program.
• Create an inspiring and inclusive learning environment.
• Use intentional teaching, observations, assessment and reflective practice to extend learning.
• Build positive, meaningful relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with Educational Leader and educators to strengthen curriculum planning and documentation.
• Mentor educators and promote teamwork and reflective practice.
• Promote children’s agency, voice and participation in learning.
• Support positive transitions to school and collaboration with local schools.
• Champion inclusive practices reflecting each child’s individuality.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the kindergarten program and Quality Improvement Plan.
• Uphold child safety, active supervision and wellbeing.
