A new beginning. A shared vision. An opportunity to make a difference.
Are you a passionate Early Childhood Teacher who believes in the power of play, meaningful relationships and creating learning experiences that inspire children to explore, discover and thrive?
At Kurrajong Kids Early Learning, we're creating something special, and we'd love you to be part of it!
We're a proudly locally owned and operated early learning service, preparing to open our doors in Leneva in early 2027.
We're not part of a large corporate childcare chain. We're building something of our own, right here in our community, where children thrive, families belong and educators feel valued, supported and inspired.
We're now looking for a passionate Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our foundation team and help bring our vision to life.
Every child is known. Every family is valued. Every day matters.
Our Promise is at the heart of everything we do. It reflects our commitment to creating a place where children feel safe and connected, families feel welcomed and educators are supported to grow and thrive.
It's more than words on a page. It's something we bring to life through our relationships, everyday interactions and the way we support one another.
As part of our team, you'll play an important role in bringing the Kurrajong Promise to life.
This isn't simply another teaching position. It's an opportunity to join us from the beginning, bring your teaching philosophy to life and help shape a kindergarten program where every child feels a genuine sense of belonging.
As our Early Childhood Teacher, you'll play an important role in creating an inspiring, inclusive and engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to be curious, confident and capable learners.
Working collaboratively with our Educational Leader, Centre Manager and educators, you'll develop and deliver a meaningful, play-based kindergarten program that reflects children's interests, strengths, abilities and individual learning journeys.
You'll have the opportunity to bring your creativity, professional knowledge and passion for early childhood education into a brand-new service, helping establish educational practices, learning environments and relationships that reflect our commitment to quality.
We believe a great kindergarten program is about more than preparing children for school. It's about nurturing their confidence, independence, curiosity, wellbeing and love of learning, while celebrating childhood and all the wonderful discoveries that come with it.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Develop, implement and evaluate an engaging, play-based kindergarten program that reflects the EYLF V2.0, VEYLDF and children' individual learning needs.
Create an inspiring and inclusive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, independence and discovery.
Use intentional teaching, observations, assessment and critical reflection to extend children' learning and development.
Build genuine, respectful and collaborative relationships with children and families, recognising families as important partners in their child's learning journey.
Work collaboratively with our Educational Leader and educators to strengthen curriculum planning, pedagogical practices and educational documentation.
Support and mentor educators within your learning environment, encouraging shared learning, professional reflection and teamwork.
Promote children' agency, voice and participation, ensuring their ideas and interests are reflected in the learning program.
Support positive transitions to school through meaningful learning experiences, strong family partnerships and collaboration with local schools.
Champion inclusive practices that celebrate each child's individuality, culture, abilities and background.
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our kindergarten program, educational philosophy and Quality Improvement Plan.
Promote children' rights, safety and wellbeing through positive relationships, active supervision and child-safe practices.
We're building a team and culture from the ground up, and we want our educators to feel proud of the service they're helping to create.
Here's what makes us different:
We're an independent early learning service, built with our local community in mind.
We value your knowledge, experience and ideas, and believe everyone has something meaningful to contribute.
We believe in approachable, collaborative leadership built on trust, respect and open communication.
We value reflection, mentoring and continuous learning to support educators in strengthening their practice.
As part of our foundation team, you'll help shape our educational direction, practices and culture.
We're passionate about creating safe, inclusive and engaging environments where children can explore, discover and thrive.
We're looking for someone who brings warmth, creativity, professionalism and a genuine passion for inspiring young learners.
You'll bring:
An ACECQA-approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification, or an equivalent qualification recognised for early childhood teaching in Australia.
Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT), or eligibility to obtain registration before commencing employment.
Sound knowledge of the EYLF V2.0, VEYLDF, National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard.
A strong understanding of play-based learning, intentional teaching, curriculum planning, assessment and reflective practice.
A passion for creating engaging and inclusive kindergarten programs that support children' learning, development and wellbeing.
The ability to build positive and meaningful relationships with children, families, educators and the wider community.
Strong communication, organisational and collaborative leadership skills.
A positive, reflective mindset and willingness to share ideas, embrace new approaches and contribute to continuous improvement.
An understanding of child safety, active supervision, inclusion and relevant regulatory requirements.
Current First Aid, CPR, asthma, anaphylaxis and required child safety training, or willingness to complete the required training before commencement.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely loves teaching young children, values the importance of relationships and wants to be part of creating a kindergarten program where every child feels known, supported and inspired to learn.
If you're looking for an opportunity where your experience is valued, your ideas are welcomed and your teaching can help shape something special, we'd love to hear from you!
