Skip Loans in Melbourne is seeking a senior analytics engineer to own the data stack end-to-end, delivering trusted, business-ready models, dashboards and reporting for the whole company.

You will shape data definitions, metrics and governance, partnering with Growth, Credit, Ops and Finance to turn questions into decisions. This founding role offers equity and scope to build a data team as the business scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in analytics engineering, data analytics or BI
• Strong modelling discipline and business instinct
• Experience owning a production data stack
• Ability to learn quickly and define data standards

Responsibilities

• Own the data stack end-to-end from ingestion to business-ready models
• Model for trust with correct grain, keys and structures
• Define metrics and a data dictionary for harmonised reporting
• Build core dashboards and regulator-facing reporting
• Move toward a single source of truth with self-service at scale
• Partner with Growth, Credit, Ops, Finance and Treasury and push back when needed
• Use AI deliberately while maintaining governance and verification
