Job summary

Skip Loans is building a data-first platform in Australia to turn raw ingested data into trusted, decision-ready numbers. You will own three core areas—ingestion, modelling and analysis—building clean, reconciled data assets used across the business from dashboards to board reporting.

You’ll lead the data stack end-to-end, establish metric definitions, and drive self-serve governance while partnering with Growth, Credit and Finance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years across analytics engineering, data analysis or BI with end-to-end ownership.
• Owned a production data stack with tested, documented, version-controlled models.
• Strong business-facing analysis and ability to turn numbers into decisions.
• Defined data definitions and trust through consistent metrics.
• Ability to use AI deliberately and verify outputs.
• Excellent communication of trade-offs and founding ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own the data stack end to end—from ingestion to business-ready models.
• Model for trust with proper grain, structure, testing and versioning.
• Define metrics and a data dictionary across departments.
• Build dashboards and reporting used by board, regulators and executives.
• Move toward a single source of truth with self-serve governance.
• Partner with Growth, Credit, Ops, Finance and Treasury to turn questions into recommendations.
• Use AI to move fast while maintaining data integrity.
