Job summary

Drake Trades and Technical is seeking a Forklift Technician to maintain and repair forklifts, EWPs and mobile machinery across Brisbane and the Gold Coast. You will service mobile equipment, diagnose faults, attend breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance.

The role requires a trade qualification, experience with forklifts and heavy equipment, strong fault diagnosis, ability to work independently, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Diesel/Mobile Plant/Heavy Vehicle or similar field.
• Experience with forklifts, EWPs, mobile plant or heavy equipment.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Current driver's licence.
• Good communication and organisation skills.
• Strong focus on safety and customer service.

The Role

Working across Brisbane and the Gold Coast, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing forklifts, EWPs and mobile machinery. Your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining mobile equipment
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
• Attending breakdowns and completing repairs
• Carrying out scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Travelling to customer sites across Brisbane and the Gold Coast
• Recording completed work and parts used
• Working safely and in line with HSE requirements
• Providing professional service to customers

About You

To be successful, you will have:

• A trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or similar field
• Experience working with forklifts, EWPs, mobile plant or heavy equipment
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience with servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance
• The ability to work independently and manage your workload
• A current driver's licence
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A strong focus on safety and customer service
