Job summary

Inter Industrial, Croydon South, is seeking a Forklift Operator - Material Handler to support warehouse and factory operations. You will safely receive, unload, store, and deliver materials to production areas to maintain flow.

Key requirements include a valid Forklift License and proven ability to operate High Reach and Counterbalance forklifts, strong attention to detail, and the capacity to work at pace while following WHS policies.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years in warehouse, logistics or material handler roles.
• Valid Forklift License and safe operation on High Reach and Counterbalance forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks safely.
• Check goods against paperwork accurately and timely.
• Process delivery dockets quickly and efficiently.
• Use scanning technology to book in stock.
• Process Kanban cards as per process.
• Develop good working relationships with factory personnel.
• Take direction from Receiving Manager as required.
• Deliver parts to operators in the factory on the same day received (except after cut-off times).
• Ensure stock is stored in the correct location by part number; alert if not.
• Maintain safe forklift operation and comply with company drug/alcohol policy.

Job description

Our client located in Croydon South are looking for a Forklift Operator - Material Handler to support the warehouse and factory operations.

The Material Handler supports warehouse and factory operations by safely receiving, unloading, storing and delivering materials to production areas.

This role is critical to maintaining production flow and ensuring all incoming goods are processed accurately, stored correctly and delivered promptly to operators.

The position requires:

• Safe forklift operations on both High Reach and Counter balance Forklifts.
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work at pace
• Strict adherence to WHS and company policies

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks quickly and safely.
• Check goods against paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process delivery dockets quickly and efficiently.
• Use scanning technology to book in stock.
• Process Kanban cards as per process quickly and efficiently.
• Develop good working relationships with all factory personnel in each area.
• Take direction from the Receiving Manager as required.
• Deliver parts to operators in the factory on the same day received (except for stock received after 3:00pm Mon–Thurs and 12:30pm Fri).
• Ensure stock delivered is stored in the correct location by part number (if none alert Receiving Manager asap).
• When putting stock away, handle carefully to prevent damage to parts.
• Maintain a valid Forklift License and comply with the companies Zero Tolerance Drug and Alcohol Policy.
