Job summary

CRL Express in Melbourne is seeking Fulltime Forklift Operators for the AM and PM shifts at our Somerton site. You will operate forklifts, handle inbound and outbound freight, and ensure loads are secured and scanned accurately.

The role requires a LF forklift license and a commitment to safety within a fast-paced logistics environment. The successful candidate will contribute to a collaborative team, maintain tidy yards, and help meet daily targets while adhering to mass management and load

Qualifications

• LF Forklift License is required.
• Strong safety awareness and adherence to OHS regulations.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in Linehaul Loading Operations.
• Understanding of Mass Management is preferred.
• Understanding of Load Restraint Guidelines is preferred.
• Enthusiastic and energetic team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure all inbound and/or outbound freight is scanned, matched, sorted, and placed safely into correct locations.
• Load outbound linehaul units (consolidation of freight).
• Unload and/or load safely with zero damage within set time limits.
• Comply with mass requirements and with Chain of Responsibility including load restraint.
• Match freight and connotes to ensure correct loading.
• Report incidents of damage, shortages, or misloads to the supervisor promptly.
• Keep the yard organized and tidy.
• Aim for zero near-miss incidents or accidents.
• Contribute to team goals and work effectively as part of a team.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Accurately scanned, matched, sorted, and placed safely into correct locations.
• Load outbound linehaul units (consolidation of freight)
• Unload and/or loaded safely with zero damage within set time limits.
• Compliant with legislative requirements with regard to load mass.
• Compliant with Chain of Responsibility including appropriate load restraint.
• Match freight and connotes to ensure no miss-sorted or miss-loaded freight.
• Report all incidents of damage, shortages, split consignments, etc. to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Ensure the yard is kept organised and tidy.
• Work toward a target of zero near-miss incidents or accidents.
• Contribute to shared goals and work effectively as part of a team.
