Job summary

Workfast is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for a client in Sydney's Moorebank area. This full-time afternoon shift role focuses on safe forklift operation, linehaul loading/unloading, and stock movement.

You will work 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Friday, in a premium 3PL distribution environment. Candidates should have a forklift license, demonstrate reliability, and pass police check.

Qualifications

• Forklift license required.
• Proven linehaul loading/unloading experience.
• Experience operating Counterbalance and High Reach forklifts.
• Ability to assist with manual handling and general warehousing.
• Willing to undergo National Police Check.
• Strong reliability and punctuality.
• Good communication and team player.
• Valid photo ID and full right to work in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load/unload linehaul stock.
• Load/unload linehaul trucks and trailers with proper weight distribution.
• Stage, put away, and retrieve pallets from high‑rack storage.
• Pick bulk goods and prepare palletised orders.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.
• Keep docks, aisles and work areas clean and safe.
• Coordinate with shift supervisors to meet targets.
• Follow WHS policies and forklift safety guidelines.

Pay rate: $41.61 per hour + OT penalties + super
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Full-time hours, Ongoing)

Candidates must have a strong work ethic, high safety standards, and proven experience safely operating forklifts in a fast-paced warehouse environment—specifically with demonstrated experience in linehaul loading and unloading. This role requires an ongoing commitment, strong reliability, and a hands‑on approach to stock movement, high‑reach staging, and supporting the broader on‑site team across the afternoon shift.

• Demonstrated experience operating Counterbalance and/or High Reach forklifts in a busy 3PL environment.
• Physical capability to assist with manual handling and general warehousing tasks when required.
• Must be willing to undergo a National Police Check.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and a proactive work ethic.
• Good communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
• Valid Photo ID and full right to work in Australia.

What you will be doing

• Safely operating forklifts (Counterbalance / High Reach) to perform linehaul loading, unloading, stacking, and moving of stock/freight.
• Efficiently loading and unloading linehaul trucks and trailers while adhering to load weight distribution and restraint guidelines.
• Staging, put-away, and retrieving pallets from high‑rack storage.
• Accurately picking bulk goods and preparing palletised orders for despatch.
• Assisting the warehousing team with manual handling and general warehouse duties as needed.
• Keeping work areas, loading docks, and aisles clean, clear, and safe.
• Coordinating with shift supervisors to execute daily targets efficiently.Complying with site WHS policies and forklift safety guidelines at all times.
