Job summary

Visy in Dandenong, VIC is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join the despatch team. You will move pallets, load and unload trucks, and support production lines to keep operations running smoothly.

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will hold a valid Australian LF licence for a Toyota gas counterbalance forklift and work a 5:00am start with 10-hour shifts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Safety and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Current Australian LF forklift licence.
• Experience operating a Toyota gas counterbalance forklift.
• Experience in despatch, warehousing or manufacturing.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks and handling pallets.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Reliability, punctuality and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability for a 5:00am start and 10-hour shifts.
• Hands-on approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Toyota gas-powered counterbalance forklift to move pallets and materials safely around the site.
• Loading and unloading trucks efficiently and safely to support despatch operations.
• Feeding pallets to production lines to ensure continuous workflow and minimise downtime.
• Moving finished goods into designated storage and despatch areas.
• Checking pallet movements and ensuring goods are handled and positioned correctly.
• Completing daily forklift pre-start checks and reporting any equipment faults or safety concerns.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Working closely with production, warehouse and despatch teams to meet daily operational deadlines.

The role:

What you will bring to the team:

• A current and valid Australian LF forklift licence.
• Demonstrated experience operating a counterbalance forklift, ideally a Toyota gas forklift.
• Previous experience in despatch, warehousing or a manufacturing environment.
• Experience loading and unloading trucks and handling pallets in a busy operational setting.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Reliability, punctuality and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Availability for a 5:00am start and 10-hour shifts.
• A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
