Job summary

Driver Hire Tasmania is seeking experienced Forklift Operators to support transport and logistics clients across busy periods. You will operate counterbalance forklifts, load/unload, and move palletised freight in fast-paced warehouse environments, with a strong focus on safety and accuracy.

These assignments require reliable, punctual workers who can adapt to different shifts and sites, work well with drivers and warehouse teams, and maintain a clean, safe work area while delivering

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, freight, warehousing or 3PL environments preferred.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and accuracy.
• Able to work across different shifts and client sites.

Experienced Forklift Operators - Transport & Logistics

Driver Hire Tasmania is looking for experienced Forklift Operators to support a number of our transport and logistics clients as we head into a busy period.

Our clients include major transport companies, express freight operations and 3PL warehouses, and we're looking for confident operators who can step into fast-paced environments and contribute from day one.

About the Roles

Depending on the assignment, your duties may include:

• Operating counterbalance forklifts safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading trucks and trailers
• Moving, stacking and staging palletised freight
• Putaway and stock movements within warehouse environments
• Receiving and dispatching freight
• RF scanning and freight checking
• Pick and pack duties
• Manual handling and general warehouse support
• Working closely with drivers, warehouse teams and supervisors
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised work area

These are busy operational environments, so we're particularly interested in people who are comfortable on a forklift, understand how freight operations work and can maintain safety and accuracy when the pressure is on.

What We're Looking For

• Experience within transport, freight, warehousing or 3PL environments highly regarded
• Confidence loading and unloading vehicles and handling palletised freight
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
