Job summary

Brickworks Limited is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator for our Austral Bricks yard in Golden Grove, SA. You will unload/load trucks, safely store products, pack orders, and deliver strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Shift pattern is Monday to Thursday 6:00am–2:30pm, and Friday 6:00am–12:00pm. You must hold a current forklift licence and a valid Australian driver’s licence, plus strong safety and team skills.

Qualifications

• Current Forklift License.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Strong forklift operation skills and safe loading of heavy vehicles.
• Excellent time management to keep yard movements timely.
• Proficient with computers and basic software.
• A team player with keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trucks with forklifts (twin and single Tyne).
• Safely store products and maintain yard cleanliness and organisation.
• Pack orders with precision and care to ensure accuracy.
• Wrap and label pallets to maintain product integrity.
• Promote safety in the yard and adhere to WHS policies.
• Keep forklifts well-maintained with daily checks as per SOPs.
• Assist with stocktakes and yard recounts for reconciliation.
• Perform additional site tasks as required and work extended hours when needed.

Job description

Brickworks are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Austral Bricks yard in Golden Grove, SA. Reporting to the Customer Service and Dispatch Manager your responsibilities will include unloading and loading trucks, safely storing products, packing orders, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Shift Pattern:

Monday to Thursday 6:00am to 2:30pm, and Friday 6:00am – 12:00pm.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Pack orders with precision and care, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Safely operate twin and single Tyne forklifts to load and unload trucks.
• Maintain the yard's cleanliness and organisation.
• Ensure pallets are properly wrapped and labelled, maintaining product integrity.
• Ensure safety and promote safe practices, compliant with WHS policies and procedures.
• Maintain forklifts in accordance with the SOP's, ensuring daily checks are undertaken and the equipment is kept clean and tidy.
• Assist with monthly stocktakes and subsequent yard recounts for stock reconciliation.
• Complete additional tasks around the site as and when required.
• Work extended and varied hours based on operational requirements.

Success Requirements:

• Current Forklift License.
• Current Australian Drivers Licence.
• Strong skills in operating a forklift safely and efficiently and loading heavy vehicles.
• Excellent time management skills required to ensure the yard movements are timely and efficient.
• Proficient computer skills.
• A team player with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
