Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and prepare customer orders, ensuring quantities and specifications are correct.
• Load customer orders onto trucks and secure materials for transport.
• Receive, check and store incoming goods and materials.
• Safely load and unload goods using forklifts, cranes and other equipment.
• Assist with stock control, stocktakes and reporting discrepancies.
• Maintain organised, safe warehouse and stock areas.
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock or discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts and cranes in line with WHS and procedures.
• Collaborate with dispatch, sales and production to meet timelines.
• Assist machinists with bundling and moving processed steel products.
• Complete delivery dockets and warehouse documentation accurately.
• Report equipment faults or safety concerns promptly.
• Provide general support to other departments as required.

Job description

RPR Trades is seeking an experienced and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our client a manufacturer specialising in reinforcement steel products and engineered reinforcement solutions for the construction industry based in Lidcombe.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone with previous warehouse and materials handling experience. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement, storage and dispatch of materials while supporting the wider warehouse, production and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and prepare customer orders, ensuring quantities and specifications are correct.
• Load customer orders onto trucks and ensure materials are safely secured for transport.
• Receive, check and store incoming goods and materials.
• Safely load and unload goods using forklifts, cranes and other warehouse equipment.
• Assist with stock control, stocktakes and reporting any stock discrepancies.
• Maintain an organised, efficient and safe warehouse and stock storage area.
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock or discrepancies to the Warehouse Leading Hand or Warehouse and Logistics Manager.
• Operate forklifts and cranes safely in accordance with WHS requirements and company procedures.
• Work closely with dispatch, sales and production teams to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Assist metal machinists with tasks including bundling and moving processed steel products.
• Complete delivery dockets, stock records and other warehouse documentation accurately.
• Report any equipment faults, malfunctions or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe work environment.
• Provide general support to other departments as required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse or industrial environment.
• Experience operating forklifts and handling heavy materials.
• Experience using overhead cranes or other lifting equipment is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail when picking, packing and checking orders.
• A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• The ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• A reliable and proactive approach to work.

What's on Offer

$36.50 per hour.

Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:06pm.
