Job summary

Strait Link in Hobart is seeking an hands-on Freight Handler to coordinate the safe movement of freight across the depot. Based at our Hobart site, you will load and unload vehicles, scan and reconfigure freight, and prepare shipments for linehaul while meeting tight deadlines.

The role requires a current Forklift Licence (mandatory), experience in freight/logistics, a strong safety mindset and the ability to work both independently and in a team within a fast-paced environment in Australia.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid forklift licence is mandatory.
  • Experience in freight, logistics or transport is highly regarded.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and established processes.
  • Able to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
  • Full working rights in Australia.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Based at our Hobart site, this hands-on role is responsible for the safe movement and coordination of freight across the depot.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

To be successful, you will have:

A current and valid Forklift Licence (mandatory)

Experience in a freight, logistics or transport setting (highly regarded)

A proactive approach to workplace safety

The ability to follow instructions and established processes

Confidence working independently and within a team

Full working rights in Australia
