Job summary

Andrews Meat Industries in Lidcombe, NSW is seeking an experienced forklift driver to join our warehouse team. A current high reach forklift licence and a minimum of 1 year driving experience are required, with a strong focus on safety and accuracy.

You will work as part of a tight-knit team to load, receive and organise goods in a busy yard, including cold storage areas, while maintaining clean and safe surroundings and coordinating yard activities with AMI and CFS.

Qualifications

• High reach forklift driving experience with a current licence.
• Minimum 1 year of forklift driving experience is required.
• Keen eye for detail, especially when working to strict timelines.
• Excellent communications skills.
• Loves to work as part of a team and achieve shared goals.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required, or if on temporary visa expiry date no earlier than June 2027.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Forklift driver to join the team at Andrews Meat Industries. We have 3 permanent full-time roles available based at our Lidcombe site and would suit someone who can exercise caution and a high standard of safety.

Work hours:

06:00am - 02:00pm

09:00am - 05:00pm

04:30am - 12:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Use a forklift to assist with and maintain effective operations in the warehouse
• Receiving goods in the yard area (meat, dry goods and chemical)
• Stack empty pallets away
• Sorting and grouping different types of pallets
• Work in and around a freezer environment.
• Stock management for dry goods area
• Daily maintenance of yard to ensure it is clean and tidy
• Co-ordinating AMI and CFS receiving in the yard
• Report any incidents appropriately

About you:

• High reach Forklift driving experience with a current licence (A must - you will be required to bring this to interview)
• Minimum 1 year of forklift driving experience is required
• Keen eye for detail, especially when working to strict timelines
• Excellent communications skills
• Loves to work as part of a team and achieve shared goals
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required, (or if you have a temporary visa it must have an expiry date of no earlier than June 2027)
