Job summary

Knauf Australia is seeking a Customer Service Operator – Forklift Driver to join our Tarneit trade store team. You will be responsible for distribution activities and daily warehousing tasks, including unloading, picking, packing, and handling customer interactions both in person and by phone.

The role requires a valid forklift licence, a physical fitness for manual handling, and passing pre-employment medical and police checks. Working hours are Mon-Fri, 6.00am-2.00pm, at our Tarneit site.

Responsibilities

• Hand unload plasterboard and assist as offsider.
• Deal with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
• Pick & pack daily orders.
• Regularly check and assemble orders.
• Receipt goods and check paperwork; maintain due diligence.
• Load/unload customer vehicles and maintain equipment.
• Record and report customer complaints per procedures.
• Assist with stocktakes to ensure accurate inventory.

Prior experience within the Distribution & logistics Industry is highly desirable

Ability to work from the Tarneit site full time (Mon-Fri – 6.00am-2.00pm)

About the Role

As a Customer Service Operator – Forklift Driver you will report to the Trade Store Manager, where you will be responsible for distribution activities through the daily operations of the Tarneit trade store

Some tasks as part of this role include:

• Hand unloading plasterboard as an offsider


• Dealing with Customers face-to-face & over the phone


• Picking & Packing orders on a daily basis


• Regularly check & make up orders


• Receipt goods & checking off paperwork while maintaining due diligence


• Loading/unloading customer vehicles


• Maintain operational equipment and report any faults or damage to management


• Record and report any customer complaints to the Trade Stores Manager regarding product and/or service via Knauf's complaint and customer procedures


• Assist with stocktake/inventory counts process to ensure accurate inventory records are maintained


• General warehouse duties & housekeeping
