Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Logistics Operator I to manage material flow from receiving to dispatch at our West Melbourne site. You will work closely with maintenance and operations to ensure parts and materials are available when needed, following safety protocols.

The role requires current forklift licence, experience in warehouse/logistics, and familiarity with SAP or ERP/WMS systems. This is a 6-month, on-site assignment based in West Melbourne, Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/logistics operations.
• Current forklift licence with operating experience.
• Experience with ERP/WMS systems; SAP desirable.
• Strong inventory management and record-keeping.
• Effective communication and teamwork in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking and putting away incoming goods.
• Picking, preparing and issuing parts to maintenance and operations.
• Stocking, packing and dispatch activities.
• Operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Managing inventory movements and asset tracking.
• Performing stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Recording material movements in SAP/ERP/WMS.
• Ensuring stock movements match system transactions.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to maintain flow.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, safe and compliant.
