Job summary

KordaMentha is seeking an Associate for the Forensic Data Analytics team in Melbourne. You will analyse complex financial and payroll datasets, build strong analytical models, and translate data into actionable insights for investigations and remediation projects.

You will work with clients and senior stakeholders to communicate findings, mentor junior staff, and contribute to winning proposals. A consulting background and strong SQL/Tableau skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in data analytics, forensic analytics, or financial modelling in a consulting or professional services environment.
• Strong SQL and Tableau capability.
• Experience with large datasets and detailed analysis to uncover insights.
• Degree in Data Analytics, Actuarial Studies, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering or related quantitative field.
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative mindset and interest in developing others.
• Experience with Alteryx, Power BI, Python or R will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Analyse large and complex financial, payroll and transactional datasets to identify trends and risks.
• Build and enhance analytical, financial and statistical models to support investigations and remediation programs.
• Transform data into insights through reports, dashboards, visuals and presentations.
• Engage with clients, legal advisers and senior stakeholders to communicate findings clearly.
• Manage engagement deliverables and balance priorities while delivering quality outcomes.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and analytical capabilities.
