Job summary

State Government of Victoria, Australia is seeking experienced forensic clinicians to join Forensic Intervention Services (FIS). You will work in a multidisciplinary team delivering evidence-based forensic intervention in a correctional setting, using the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model.

You will conduct comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, and develop treatment plans and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • General registration as Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
  • Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
  • A master's degree in psychotherapy with PACFA registration.
  • A master's degree in counselling with ACA or PACFA membership.

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive assessments including risk assessments.
  • Clinical interviews to develop person-centred rehabilitation pathways.
  • Treatment interventions employing evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Treatment programs involving individual and group sessions.
  • Preparing treatment plans, treatment reports, and risk assessment reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Master's degree in psychotherapy

Registration as Psychologist (AHPRA)
AASW membership
Mental Health Nurse credential
Occupational Therapist registration
