SEE Group is seeking an experienced Foreman or Site Supervisor to lead urban and civil projects in Toowoomba, QLD. You will work with engineering, fleet management, project delivery and operations to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Background in plant operation and construction delivery.

Responsibilities

• Program daily site works in line with the construction program and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate personnel, subcontractors, plant and equipment; support staff with technical issues.
• Monitor subcontractors for HSEQ compliance.
• Oversee financial performance of projects.
• Manage recruitment, training, development and performance of project staff with People & Culture support.
• Ensure projects have necessary skilled resources.
• Control costs and productivity to meet financial objectives.
• Collaborate on cost changes and variations to meet project goals.

The Opportunity

SEEGroup are currently looking for an experienced Foreman or Site Supervisor to join our growing, highly professional and skilledurban developmentdivision. This is a diverse and fast-paced, full-time permanent role based in Toowoomba, QLD.You’llwork closely with teams acrossengineering, fleet management, project delivery, and operations to ensure the safe and on-time delivery of new urban and civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Responsible and accountable for the effective programming of daily site worksin accordance withthe construction program, including any adjustments as they arise. Responsible for project compliance with all relevant legislation,regulationsand standards.
• Responsible and accountable for the coordination of employees, subcontractors,plantand equipmentrequiredfor the projects. Provide advice,supportandassistanceto project staff in relation to any technical and/or complex problems that may arise during project life.
• Monitor sub-contractors on a continual basis with a view to ensuring compliance with HSEQ requirements.
• Responsible for the overall financial performance of the projects.
• Manage relevant personnel throughout their employment lifecycle including,selection, training and development, evaluation, and performancemanagement with support from the People & Culture Team.
• Ensure projects are adequately resourced with personnel of the required skills andexperience.
• Manage activities on site, controlling costs and productivity to meet financialobjectivesof the projects.
• Work closely with the project teams on costing changes to the project scope and/or pricing of variations to ensure the project meets financial goals.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Background in Plant Operation, Construction and Delivery processes.
• Proven management skills,practicesand planning ability.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects andmaintainingfocus on priorities.
• Highly effective skills in negotiating,evaluatingand administering contracts, specifications, and Australian standards.
• Establishing andmaintainingeffective working relationships.
• Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual project delivery.
• Computer literacy, particularly experience working with MS Excel and MS Project applications.
• Highly effective planning, organising and problem-solving skills together with the ability to lead, motivate and influence others.
