Job summary

Bluestone Recruitment is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead day-to-day site operations on a major residential/commercial project in Sydney. You will coordinate trades, supervise activities, and ensure work aligns with drawings, schedule and safety standards.

There is a clear pathway toward Site Manager, with a structured project team and backing from a financially stable business.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Building & Construction (minimum).
• Solid experience as a Foreman on large residential or commercial projects in excess of $30m in Australian Tier 1-3 business.
• Strong tenure throughout your CV.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and ensure work meets design intent.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate trades and drive outcomes.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Running daily pre-starts and toolbox meetings to set priorities and ensure safe work practices.
• Supervising all site activities, ensuring work is carried out to specification and program.
• Coordinating and monitoring subcontractors to achieve consistent quality and productivity.
• Reviewing and interpreting drawings, plans and schedules.
• Tracking progress against program targets and reporting updates to the Site Manager.
• Identifying potential issues early and finding practical solutions on the ground.
• Maintaining site records, checklists and defect lists.
• Managing materials and deliveries to keep work flowing efficiently.
• Upholding site presentation, compliance and safety at all times.
