Job summary

HIR Talent Pty is supporting a well-established Australian construction client in Queensland. The role targets an experienced Foreman or aspiring Site Manager to assist in delivering commercial projects across hospitality, aged care, education and fitout sectors.

You will oversee day-to-day site activities, coordinate trades, manage logistics and ensure works meet programme and safety standards. Strong leadership and drawing interpretation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years experience as a Foreman or Leading Hand on commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and coordination on site.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day site activities, trades and subcontractors.

• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Our client is an well-established Australian construction company with a strong track record and decades of experience delivering projects across Queensland and New South Wales.

The business delivers a diverse range of commercial projects, including hospitality, aged care, accommodation, medical, education and fitout, with a combination of smaller projects and larger developments.

With a strong pipeline of work across Queensland, they are continuing to build out their project teams and are looking for experienced construction professionals to join the business.

The Opportunity

This role would suit an experienced Foreman or aspiring Site Manager looking to take the next step in their career. You’ll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day delivery of your site, working closely with an experienced project team while developing your skills across programming, coordination and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

About You

• Minimum Qualification: Certificate IV in Carpentry or equivalent.
• 3+ years experience as a Foreman or Leading Hand in commercial construction
• Strong understanding of construction methodology and site coordination.
• Experience across commercial, hospitality, aged care or fitout projects.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Reliable, organised and hands-on approach.
• Interested in continuing to develop your career within construction.
